GTM Ultimate Stack

Run your first GTM standards audit across every brand

Pick the brands, check which standards are on, run one read-only audit across every container, and know exactly what it read before you trust the result.

Before you run

Open Standardization Audit and look at the library first. Eleven standards are on from the start. Switch off any that don't apply to your portfolio: every enabled standard runs against every container you pick. Leave the five that need setup off until you've set your convention; Tune the built-in standards shows how.

Eleven on, a few off, five waiting for your convention.

A standards library listing five standards with their category, severity and state: on, off or needs setup.

Pick the brands

Tick the brands to audit. On Free, a run covers one GTM account; Premium audits brands in several accounts at once. A brand covers every container in its GTM account: live sites, staging containers, old microsites. That is usually what you want from an audit.

When one GTM account holds several brands, set each brand's container in ODDVX. The audit then checks only that brand's container, and the brand list shows which brands share an account so it's never a surprise.

Without a container set, a shared account is audited whole.

Two panels: a brand row with no container set audits every container in the shared account, while one with its container set audits only that container.

Run it

Press Run standards audit. ODDVX reads every container of the chosen brands and evaluates every enabled standard against each one. Nothing is written to GTM.

Pick the brands, then run. Reading never changes anything.

Know what it read

The audit reads each container's Default Workspace. That holds everything published plus any edits someone has made there and not yet published. A change waiting in another workspace, such as an ODDVX rollout, isn't checked until it's published.

So a finding can be about something that isn't live yet, and a fix you've staged elsewhere won't show until you publish it. If a result surprises you, check the Default Workspace in GTM first.

The Default Workspace is checked, published or not. Other workspaces aren't.

Two panels: the Default Workspace, including unpublished edits, is audited; other workspaces are not.

Read the result

The scorecard lists every container, worst first. Start with the red dots: error-level findings such as a GA4 tag without analytics consent. Read the scorecard explains every part of it.

Questions about a first audit

?

How long does an audit take?

It depends on how many containers and items you pick. It reads each container once, whatever the number of standards.

?

Why is a container I don't recognise in the results?

A brand covers every container in its GTM account. Set the brand's container in ODDVX to audit only that one.

?

Does running an audit create a workspace?

No. It only reads.
