GA4 Ultimate Stack

Make Google signals the same choice on every GA4 property

See which properties collect Google signals and which have accepted its terms, then switch signals on or off across brands, with user-provided data settings shown alongside for review.

What the Data collection category shows

Load the Data collection category to see four settings side by side:

  • Google signals data collection: Enabled, Disabled or Not set. This one can be changed here.
  • Google signals terms accepted: whether the property has accepted Google's signals terms. Read-only.
  • User-provided data collection and automatically detected user-provided data: read-only, and changed in GA4.
Signals can be changed here. Terms and user-provided data are shown for review.

A data collection table where one property's Google signals differs and the terms and user-provided data rows are read-only.

Make it one decision

Google signals adds data from signed-in Google users for cross-device reporting and remarketing audiences, and it can change what your reports show. Brands compared side by side should make the same choice, and that choice belongs to whoever owns privacy and consent for each brand.

Decide it once, save it in your baseline, and every property that differs is one filter away.

Terms first, then switch on

Turning signals on needs the property to have accepted the Google signals terms in GA4. Check the terms column first. Where it says not accepted, accept the terms in that property's GA4 Admin, then reload. Stage Enabled on the properties that need it, preview, and apply.

Turning signals off needs no terms. Not set can be read but is never offered as a value to set.

Check the terms, accept them in GA4, reload, then stage and apply.

A five-step flow for turning Google signals on across properties, ending in your confirmation.

User-provided data stays in GA4

User-provided data collection is shown so the review of a property's data collection is complete. GA4 offers no way to change it from outside GA4 Admin, so ODDVX shows it read-only. Change it in GA4.
