GA4 Ultimate Stack
Run GA4 across every property from one screen
The complete guide to the ODDVX GA4 modules: audit events, compare performance, change configuration with a preview, check data quality and catch key event drops across every property you manage.
Every property, one screen
GA4 is organised one property at a time. That is fine for one website. It becomes the bottleneck when you look after a portfolio: several brands, several markets, a roll-up property on top, and a client who wants to know why leads look different in one of them.
The GA4 Ultimate Stack is the set of ODDVX modules for that work:
- Reads run across every property you choose at once: events and key events, performance, parameter quality, GTM-to-GA4 parity and key event anomalies.
- Writes (event rules, key events, custom dimensions and channel groups) always show a dry run first and wait for you to confirm.
This guide explains how the modules fit together, what each one reads and writes, and where GA4 behaves differently from GTM. Each section links to a shorter guide for the job in front of you.
A key event check fans out to six GA4 properties: four marked OK, one warning and one critical with short reasons.
The one-by-one problem in GA4 Admin
Answering a simple portfolio question in GA4 Admin means switching property, opening the right screen, noting what you see and doing it again. Is generate_lead a key event everywhere? Is Form Name registered on every brand? Do all properties use the same channel group? A dozen brands means a dozen passes, and the difference you are looking for is easy to miss on the eleventh.
ODDVX puts the properties side by side. You pick the brands, run the module once, and the brand that doesn't match stands out in one table.
| Question | In GA4 Admin | In ODDVX |
|---|---|---|
| Which events and key events exist? | Events screen, per property | Events Manager: every web stream of the selected brands |
| How do brands compare? | Explore or reports, per property | Core Performance Explorer: one matrix across brands |
| Is a parameter actually populated? | Build a report per property | Dimensions Control Center: property × dimension results |
| Is the channel taxonomy the same everywhere? | Channel groups, per property | Channel Groups Vault: one coverage matrix |
| Has a key event stopped? | Notice it in a report | Key Event Anomaly Alert: every brand, judged on its own history |
A comparison: GA4 Admin needs five screens in each of six properties, while ODDVX shows all six in one table and previews any change.
How the GA4 Ultimate Stack works
The modules group into four jobs, plus one rule that applies to all of them:
- See what GA4 is recording: events and key events, and performance across brands.
- Configure it: event rules and key events, custom dimensions and channel groups.
- Verify the data: parameters populated and GTM and GA4 in step.
- Monitor it: key event drops, on a schedule.
- Every write waits for you. A dry run shows the change per property; nothing is written until you confirm.
Five steps in a row: see, configure, verify, monitor, and a final human gate where you confirm each write.
Brands, properties and data streams
ODDVX works with the brands you have set up in the app. Each brand maps to one or more GA4 properties: typically the property its website sends to, and sometimes a roll-up property that combines several sites. Each property has one or more web data streams.
Where a change lives matters:
- Event create rules live on a web data stream. A roll-up property receives what its source streams produce.
- Key events, custom dimensions and channel groups are set per property.
- Reads can cover every property of the brands you select.

What each module reads and writes
Some modules only read; others can also change GA4. Knowing which is which tells you what to expect from a run:
| Module | Reads | Writes |
|---|---|---|
| Events Manager | Events, key events and create rules on every web stream | Create or edit a rule (one stream per write); toggle a key event (one property per toggle) |
| Core Performance Explorer | Metrics for matching events across brands | — |
| Dimensions Control Center | Registered dimensions and how well they are populated | Register a dimension on several properties in one batch; edit its name or description |
| Channel Groups Vault | Every channel group and its ordered channels | Apply a template, add, reorder, rename or delete, across several properties in one batch |
| GTM ↔ GA4 Parity Checker | GTM event tags against GA4 key events and recorded events | — |
| Key Event Anomaly Alert | Key event history per brand | — |

GA4 writes apply directly
This is the biggest difference from the GTM Ultimate Stack. GTM has workspaces: a change is staged, reviewed and published later. GA4 has no workspace and no publish step. Once you confirm a GA4 change, it is live.
So every ODDVX write to GA4 follows the same pattern:
- Stage the change in the module.
- Run the dry run. It writes nothing and shows exactly what would change on each property.
- Read it, then confirm.
- The change is written straight to GA4. It applies to data collected from then on, not to the past.
For how to plan, record and recover GA4 changes, see GA4 change control.
Four steps: stage the change, a dry run that writes nothing, the human confirmation gate, then live in GA4 with no undo.
Free and Premium for GA4 work
Every GA4 module is available on Free, one brand or property per run. Channel Groups Vault lists every property on Free but writes one property per action and keeps one saved template. The Parity Checker keeps one saved bond on Free.
Premium removes the scope limit, so you can select all your brands in one run and write to several properties in one batch. It also adds CSV and Excel export, email delivery and scheduled checks. Compare the plans.

What the GA4 stack does not do
- Undo a write. Confirmed GA4 changes are live. Reverse them by making the opposite change.
- Rewrite the past. Rules, key events, dimensions and channel groups apply to new data.
- Edit GA4's Default channel group. It is read-only in GA4; use a custom group.
- Validate item-scoped dimensions. Event and user scope are checked.
- Schedule a write. Only read-only checks run on a schedule.
- Replace GA4 itself. Anything outside these modules is still done in GA4.
A list of limits: no undo, no workspace, read-only Default channel group, item-scoped dimensions not validated, completeness not proven, writes never scheduled.

Questions people ask first
Does ODDVX change GA4 without asking?
No. Every write shows a dry run first and only happens when you confirm.
Can I undo a GA4 change?
Not automatically. GA4 has no workspace or version history for these settings, so you reverse a change by making the opposite change. Record the before state first.
Do changes affect past data?
No. Event rules, key events, custom dimensions and channel groups apply to data collected after the change.
Which GA4 properties can it see?
Any property your Google account has access to. If one is missing, check that access first.
Can it change many properties at once?
Custom dimensions and channel groups can be written to several properties in one batch on Premium. Event rules and key events are written one stream or property at a time.
Do I need Premium?
Not to use any module on one brand or property per run. Premium is for every brand in one run, batch writes, exports, email and schedules.
