QA workflow

Check a form’s tracking before release sign-off

Collect browser evidence for an agreed test journey, then verify reporting separately.

A practical sequence

From inspection to a documented next action.

01

Agree the test

Get permission for the target site, exact form and test data. Plan how test submissions will be identified in the CRM and other downstream systems.

02

Inspect the manual journey

Use Tag Assistant and the browser’s network tools to check the expected dataLayer event and outgoing GA4 request, including the confirmation page.

03

Repeat the configured test

Synthetic Form Test fills and submits the configured form. Review its dataLayer result and optional tag/network check; investigate a failure before rerunning.

04

Complete the sign-off

Record which URL, journey and configuration passed. Check GA4 key-event configuration and subsequent reporting separately; a request does not prove final attribution or counting.

What the result meansThis workflow submits real forms and may create leads or notifications. Use agreed test data and authorise the run.
